I can’t even begin to tell
y’all how excited I was when Lady Tazz asked me to be a Naughty Girl
for the day! JNG was one of the first Jasper blogs I found shortly after
discovering Twilight and the awesomeness that is Major Jasper Whitlock.
So, hmm, Tazzy says there are some peeps who might want to know what
my favorite stories are. Besides my C2 that is throwing up with fics,
and my TBR list that is woefully neglected, there are a few stories
that, no matter what I am doing, I will RUN for the updates. Matter
of fact, for one, I have literally stopped grocery stopping in order
to read an update.
Summary: One fateful, winter's night, Edward and Jasper's lives are turned upside
down. Is their relationship strong enough to withstand the aftermath,
or will they be driven apart forever? Rated M for sexual situations,
language. AH J/E slash
I found this fic completely
by accident, while indulging my obsession for watching the video trailer
for Raw and Rosy. A new link popped up for a video trailer for the fic,
so I checked it out. I cried through three runs of watching it, then
clicked on the story link, and spent the next 48 hours devouring the
first 17 chapters. If you have ever read this fic, you would know that’s
NOT an easy feat, since her chapters easily average 15k words. I regret
none of the sleep, time, nor tears lost reading it, either.
Touchstone67 has taken her
readers into a world that many of us don’t want to acknowledge, unless
it touches our own lives. On a night full of special plans, Edward is
involved in a serious car accident, leaving him paralyzed from the waist
down and confined to a wheelchair. While he fights the implications
of the changes in his life, he tries to push away Jasper, his secret
boyfriend. Jasper fights him every step of the way, sacrificing his
own health in an effort to make up for all that Edward has lost.
The first ten chapters completely
destroyed me, killing a few boxes of tissues, while my heart broke for
all the pain that both of these young men were fighting through, especially
Jasper, who wouldn’t give up no matter how much abuse Edward heaped
on him. Chapter 10 is a turning point, where Edward stops fighting against
Jasper, and instead decides to fight with him for what they want in
life. I have re-read that chapter countless times, my heart swelling,
even though I know what is going to happen now. And yes, this is the
fic that I stopped right in the middle of grocery shopping to read an
update on my phone. I couldn’t bear the thought of waiting until I
got home. If you read slash, and can handle a lot of angst, I highly
recommend this story. Bring lots of tissues though. To date, I have
gone through 7 boxes of tissues and a couple rolls of toilet paper,
though not all the tears are sad ones. This is the first fic I rec if
someone asks me for a slash story to read.
Summary: To me, life was a heartbeat in time and a breath of air. Jasper showed
me it was truth, justice, faith, love, and fear. He dared me to be
different. He encouraged me to defy the rules of my world and create my
own. And on my last day, he took it all.
Convos is a dark fic. There
isn’t any nice way to put it. My Facebook partners in crime and I
refer to this Jasper as Assper because quite honestly, he’s a dick.
This is an after New Moon AU story. Jasper is supposed to be becoming
Bella’s friend. Instead, he is challenging her thoughts and misconceptions
about the Edward, while preparing her for life as a newborn vampire.
He is mean, malicious, vindictive, jealous – just about every negative
attribute you could tack on to him, he has it covered. But, he also,
in his own way, loves Bella.
When Bella finally gets the
nerve to stand up to him, it has dire consequences. Bella ends up changed,
Jasper is ripped apart by the Cullens and buried in pieces all over
the place, and we are given glimpses into the much darker, more sinister
working around Forks. Bella manages to escape the Cullens and lives
on her own as a nomad, forging her own life as a newborn. When Jasper
and his cohorts hunt her down, she determines to confront him for herself.
She is led to an enclave in
Washington, were some rogue Volturi Guard members are building their
own uprising against the Volturi, an uprising in which Bella’s special
skills are needed and sought. Finally face to face with Jasper after
a few years apart, Bella seeks to fill in gaps from her time before
her change, finsing contradictions between what she was told by the
Cullens and what is slowly revealed to her through her own notes and
conversations with Alice and Jasper.
I am desperate for an update
on this story, its been about six weeks since the last one. However,
even if it were another six weeks, I’d gladly wait it out. Oracle
Vas’ story is deep, brooding, and full of many intricate plot twists.
Just when you think you have something figured out, she throws in another
twist to screw up all of your perceptions. Definitely check this out
if you can handle dark fics.
