Cullen818 - Oh Emmett...you bad boy! What I love about this fic is that the authors took the traditional Edward left Bella in NM storyline, but this time it's not Jasper who finds her, it's Emmett. And this Emmett has some dark, tortured issues going on. He's hot, but can Bella handle him? We're going to find out since Twisted Minds Think Alike have decided to turn this into a full blown fic! Yea!

Jasper's Darlin' Kathy - Oh who doesn't love them some Emmett? I know I do, but when you make him Darkmett, I get all weak in the knees and with this o/s, I seriously was weak with want. In this o/s Alice sends Emmett to help Bella after the Cullen's left, but is Emmett the right choice when he is not in a good place either? Well I sure think he was the right choice. Check this o/s out, I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

TwiCarol - I love Emmett, in all his guises and this one is no different. The pain that Emmett has been through changes him into something we (and Bella) may not be used to, but he is still as hot as ever. Another deserving Honorable Mention that also came in second in the voter’s pick, this o/s will leave you panting for more and you’ll get it, because these lovely ladies are continuing this fic. Make sure you have them on Alert so that you won’t miss out.

Summary - Bella Swan is content with her career and her new life in London but feels that there is still something missing. Will a chance encounter with sinister yet intriguing stranger hold the answer to what she truly desires?

Cullen818 - This was such a fantastic o/s. It was so well written and amazingly developed for such a one chapter fic. Bella meets an intriguing dark stranger on a train, and finds that she'll give in to his every demand for her own pleasure, The character development in this story blew me away and left me needing more. Let's just say that I wouldn't mind taking the train to work if I were going to run into him.

Jasper's Darlin Kathy - Could you imagine meeting the perfect man on the train, on your way to work? Well, you can if you read this o/s. Mr. Cullen is quite dominant and dark and oh so sexy. Oh and did I forget to mention that there is a little twist? Want to know what the twist is? Well, you're going to have to read this o/s to find out.

TwiCarol - Loved this one! Sexy, controlling Edward on a train… UNF! This o/s is well-written, original and so damn hot. Who could blame Bella for obeying Edward when he tells her what to wear? Not me, and I’m certain none of you would either! If you have not read this one yet, you are seriously missing out. I honestly hope that the author will continue this o/s... I would LOVE to see more of Bella’s reaction to what happens in the end. Go leave this talented author lots of love… she deserves it.

Today I am pleased to present to you, the interview that I conducted with the lovely Lace Kittens, also known as Kitty Cullen-03 (Andrea) and lacym3 (Lacy). They collaborated on the fantastic Naughty Girls Pick, Together in Sin. Thanks so much, ladies, for writing such a great o/s for us. Read on to see what they have to say...

1. To start us off, tell us a little bit more about yourselves and how you got into writing Twilight Fan Fiction in the first place?

Lacy - I started out as a reader, as all of us do, and one day I got the idea for A New Life, started writing it and it all took off from there.

Andrea - I started writing way back when, beginning with Harry Potter fanfic. I was just searching for something more - I didn't realize there was a whole world out there. It was months later when I finally started to grow some balls that I decided to try my hand at writing. My first fic was horrible! When Twilight came out, as soon as I finished the series I immediately sought the "Isle Esme" scene. Then I started thinking "what if?" and Bam. Here I am.

2. Do you enjoy the collaborative process and how do you decide who writes what?

Lacy - I love collabing. It's nice to have someone else there to bounce ideas off of and to have someone to give you that much needed push. We pretty much alternate. Sometimes Andrea will start a chapter and I'll finish it and sometimes I'll start and she'll finish it.

Andrea - I love it! I’ve worked with some great people in the past, and I really love to work with Lacy. It’s like we share a brain.

3. Tell us more about how you came up with your creative storyline (which I absolutely LOVED, btw).

Lacy - I don't remember who came up with the original idea, but most of the story line came about the way all of ours do. Hashing it out. We chat about a storyline, work out the kinks, develop characters, things like that until we're happy with it.

Andrea - Yeah…I don’t remember either. We chat a lot, so chances are it just popped up as a little idea, and then grew bigger until we had a whole plot.

4. Now I know you are both Jasper girls, so tell us what you love most about Jasper and his alter-ego Darksper.

Lacy - I love Jasper because he's not afraid to do the things that others do (cough) Edward (cough). He's fearless and confident and damn sexy. Darksper I love because...well...c'mon, who doesn't love a bad boy? Really?

Andrea - What's not to love?? He's Southern, for one, and charming. But he's also deadly - we see that first hand in Midnight Sun. He's calculating and fiercely protective of his family. I always just see him as Edward's alter - like everything Edward won't do, Jasper will. And Darksper? There is NOTHING better to me than a scene that involves Jasper nomming some people. It's hot to see him so primitive. And when he lets loose, look out.

5. Talk to us about what else you are working on, together and individually.

Lacy - Pushing Limits

Wow. Pushing Limits is our little multi-chapter swinger fic and I dearly love it. It's got a lil bit of everything in it. And I mean everything.

The Bella Swan Guide to Getting Your Life Back
A very well loved story that Kitty started that is becoming a Lace Kittens project. We've got some real exciting stuff in store.

Weight of the World
A Harry Potter fan fic, Dramione, takes place during the Half Blood Prince. It hasn't been started yet, but we've got our story line hammered out and I'm real excited about it.

An original story line, non Twilight related
If we told we would have to kill you.

Unlocking the Soul
Bella and Jasper multi-chapter. Bella is a Public Defender in Texas, and introducing, the one and only, Prisonsper. Jasper is in prison for first degree murder and Bella is his lawyer, much to Jasper's displeasure.

One Twist continuation
This is a continuation of a o/s I did for the 'For the Love of Jasper' contest. It's a Bella/Darksper fic and, well, I can't give too much away.

Bite
Bite is a Harry Potter fan fic that I am taking over from my partner in crime Kitty. It's a Dramione (Draco/Hermione) that she wrote years ago and I'm reworking it.

Possible Whitlock's continuation
Whitlock's is an o/s that I wrote for the 'Home for the Holidays' contest that I may be continuing.

Andrea - Ive got an AH Jasper fic in the works called Awake in the Dark - it's my first AH story, and I'm rather pleased with it so far. Jasper's a gigalo of sorts, and it's definitely fun to write. Bella’s a client of his, and she’s very nosy. I've also got the sequel to Control in the works, although I'm not planning on posting anything in the too near future. Lacy has agreed to make my other fic, The Bella Swan Guide to Getting Your Life Back, into a Lace Kittens project, and I’m really happy about that. I was going to give it up. Other than that, I’ve been dabbling with some one-shots, and I’ve got a great one in the works with a great author named tiffaninichole. We’ll be entering it into a contest soon.

Cullen818 - OMJ! OME! We have some slashy hotness here. My favorite pairing aside from J/B is J/E, but it has to be well written, and this o/s is perfect. Two dark, hot, sexin' vampires doing very naughty things? I couldn't ask for anything more. Well, that's not true...I need more of this story, Lace Kittens! Please give me more. The ending will have you screaming.

JaspersDarlinKathy - Edward and Jasper slash is a definite must read. I love when Jasper and Edward are together, it makes me giddy with excitement to read. This o/s was amazing. If you're into slash, well then you need to carry yourself over to Lace Kittens profile and read Together in Sin. While you're over there read their other fic Pushing Limits. These two ladies definitely deliver a whole new world of the Cullen family.

TwiCarol - Wow! I cannot even tell you how much I loved this o/s. It is dark, hot, bloody and truly fantastic! Vampires behaving like “real” vampires… LOVE IT! Full of slashy goodness, it shows you Jasper & Edward giving in to their baser instincts and owning it. The ending had me shouting at my computer screen. They were only having fun, after all. ;)

Naughty Girls Pick - F Stop

So I am here today to present to you the interview that I got to do with the amazing mrsalreyami. She wrote F Stop for the Show Us Your Dark Side Contest and this o/s is a must read! I want to thank mrsalreyami for entering the contest. Here is what she had to say in the interview...

1. Why Carlisle? I'm sure you get this question all the time, but what made you choose him over the other Cullen boys?

Yeah, I hear this question often, but I like it. There are a few reasons behind my crush on Carlisle (besides the insane hotness of PFach, which seriously is *thud*worthy).

First, Carlisle is the most admirable of all of the Cullens, in my opinion. He is the one who, as a newborn, made the conscious choice to not eat humans. He didn't know until he accidentally found out that there was another option, but so strong was his hold on his humanity, and his innate goodness, that he fought his nature. That, to me, is so admirable.

Secondly, his strength...it just makes him sexy to me. I mean, here's the vampire who can be in an OR filled with human blood and not be fazed at all. Talk about your self-control and strength of will.

Third, you know he's gorgeous. Even Bella describes him as god-like. The gentle blond waves and kind smile? Yeah...

Fourth, he's a GOOD man. Sure, a bad boy is hot, but the good man is the one you can be with forever. This is the man who makes peace with his natural enemies and treats everyone with kindness. He's polite, but you know that he has an animal inside that is going to peek out when he needs it to.

And last, the man is romantic and charming, and he loves and protects while still allowing those around him to make their own choices. (*cough* pay attention, Edward *cough*) He never forces anyone to follow his way, he supports Bella making her own choice... you get the idea.

So, long story short, Carlisle is basically perfect.

2. Writing Carlisle as dark or dominant is always fun, do you find writing him OOC to be fun or do you have a hard time writing him out of character?

I thought it was extremely difficult! For me, the idea of fanfic is that we're using these characters to tell another story. Writing Carlisle OOC barely seems like fanfic anymore. I couldn't even picture this Carlisle as blond... He was totally Fastlane PFach in my head, lol.

As I was writing, I kept wanting him to be Carlisle...you know, romantic and sweet... but that's not really Domlisle, is it? Granted, even my Carlisle in Basking, which I try to make as canon as possible, has his dominant moments (when he claimed Bella as his mate, for example), but that's just a piece of him then. Writing him as a full out Dom was different.

I'm not going to say I didn't enjoy it, because I did. Domlisle is interesting and crazy sexy and completely different to write. And I'll probably (because I love TwiCarol so much) continue this story once Basking is over. I'm just saying that it was much harder than writing him IC.

3. What inspired you to start writing fanfiction? And have you always been a Carlisle girl or did a story cause you to switch?

I started writing because I couldn't find a Carlisle/Bella story that I thought was worth reading, to be honest. It's not a pairing that's done a lot, and I have to say, a lot of the ones that are done are kind of awful. It grosses me out when Bella thinks of Carlisle as a father-figure, and then is having sex with him a minute later. *cringes* Ew. In the end, I decided that, if I couldn't find what I was looking for, I'd just write it myself.

I had a crush on Carlisle from the first time I read through the books.

And to be honest, Jasper too. (My first reason above for liking Carlisle? Same goes for Jasper - he had the strength to walk away from this life and all that he knew with just the hope of finding another option. SM painted him as weak, but to me, that spoke of his immense strength.) I got started on the C/B pairing just because I wanted to read Carlisle, but I have to give credit to Dark Moon by ToryTigress92, because that was the first C/B that I read that gave me hope for the pairing.

4. What is your favorite fanfic story? Do you only read non-canon or do you read a little bit of both?

Oh god, do you have any idea how long this answer could get? *laughs*

I'll answer the second part first. When I first came to fanfic, I was all canon. Even though I didn't especially like Edward, I had a hard time wrapping my head around the idea of non-canon. I have to offer deep thanks to JannaBanana for showing me the way with When Darkness Turns to Light. That fic began my Jasper binge, and I've never recovered. (Yeah, I'm a Carlisle girl, but I read more Jasper than anything, mostly because of my previously mentioned distaste for how a lot of C/Bs are written). Nowadays, I read just about anything, as long as it's well written. (Okay, these days I don't read at all...I'm on hiatus from reading because I got behind while on vacation, but I'm excitedly anticipating my reading sabbatical, which happens as soon as Basking is completed.)

Alright, so favorites. There's a lot, but I'm going to TRY to give you a short list.

First, my favorite Carlisle fics. I mentioned one earlier, but I would be remiss if I didn't mention Changes by JeanitaA, Ithaca is Gorges (canon, but one of my favorite Carlisles EVER) by giselle-lx, and The Hummer, by mabarberella, which is hands down the best one shot EVER, and the most fuckhot dirty, but not really dirty, talking I have ever read. You will not understand what I mean unless you read it, so get going!

Now, other favorites. I love Edward Wallbanger and Family Therapy Cullen Style. Both make me laugh like crazy. The parody oneshot series by isparkle616 owns me, and I rec it constantly. Colliding Meteors by idreamofeddy, which invented God of War Jasper and Peter, as far as I'm concerned. Hope in Their Arms, which I am passionate about, by ncchris, is an awesome P/J/Charlotte that I can't wait to read more of. Over the Top is a killer E/J slash that made me cry and laugh and just fall in love. Long, Tall, Texan by Bamababe, with hot as hell Ranger Whitlock and creepy as anything James Hunter...It's killer. Fate Has Brought Us Here by cullen818 is another J/B that I was totally in love with. I have admittedly fangirled everyone mentioned in this long list, even though a lot of them have become close friends and now laugh at me for it.

I know there's a ton more, but the naughty girls might kill me if I don't stop.

5. How did you come up with the idea of a dominant photographer?

That is a good question. I really don't know. It was just one of those things where I was searching for an idea and not getting anywhere... I had a picture in my mind of the scene where Carlisle first touches Bella, when his hands move over her torso to get her in the position he wanted, and I wondered how it would make sense for him to pose her... I wanted him to be something other than a doctor this time. Photographer just kind of worked...

I must say that mrsalreyami has been reading some amazing fics. And now the naughty girls have their say...

JaspersDarlinKathy - OMC! Yeah this o/s has a very sexy, dark, and dominant Carlisle. Want to read an o/s that will make you beg for more, wish you were Bella, or in need of a cold shower? She is such an amazing writer and she definitely has one hell of a take on Carlisle that you'll just love.

TwiCarol - I absolutely adored this o/s that showed us a different side of Carlisle than we are used to. Dominant photographer Carlisle totally did it for me and I would love to read more. Are you listening, Tara? We want, no… NEED more! If it was that hot and he didn’t even touch her, can you imagine how amazing it will be when they get their hands on each other? *THUD* I’ll be waiting with bated breath… ;)

Cullen818 - Dominant Carlisle! Do I really have to say anything else? Okay, I will. Carlisle is a hot, domineering photographer who knows how to get exactly what he needs from his subject. Let's just say that by the time you get done with this particular photo shoot, you'll be begging for Carlisle to touch you. Did I mention Dominant Carlisle?

Naughty Girls Pick - Expecting Someone Else

We had three Naughty Girl Picks in the Show Us Your Dark Side Contest. Today, we feature Delandora who wrote the incredible o/s Expecting Someone Else.

Delandora is 25 years old who has been married for almost 8 years, she is the step-mom of a 12 year old daughter. She likes to play World of Warcraft, watch movies, and reads Fan Fiction like her life depends on it. She's a self diagnosed OCD -perfectionist. "I'm my own worst critic," she told me.

She has several other stories that you have to check out including: To Learn Again and The Premonition. When I asked her about her writing process, she gave me this interesting little tidbit that I thought could be useful to all of us FF writers...

"I use a synonym website and an online dictionary for descriptive words in my stories. I find that it makes the stories -in my opinion - more detailed and fun to write, hopefully more interesting to read as well."

What inspired you to start writing Fan Fiction?

*Well, I used to write stories and poetry when I was younger, but got out of it as I got older. When I first started reading Fan Fiction, I was blown away by some of the author's stories. I mean, I couldn't believe that normal, everyday people, just like me, were writing this stuff. Some of them are incredibly good. After about 6 months of reading fics, I came across a few of them where I thought, “If this were my story, I would have written it this way...” or “If this were my story, I could have described it like this...” so I decided to start writing my own where I could do as I wanted.

I found you through a o/s you wrote, In My Mind, for another Dark contest. What is it about those Dark Cullen’s you like so much?

*Hmmm...dark fics are my favorite to write. I think maybe because I'm not a dark person in my real life, it makes it easier and funner to write those types of fics. I'm not really sure why I like to write that type so much.

I've always been interested in psychology, and hope to one day go to school to become a Clinical Psychologist. So I think maybe, things that I don't understand, such as why people kill other people, or are evil, or are living in an an alternate universe in their head, intrigue me. Plus, I like to see how crazy dark I can get. My mom has read all of my stories, and sometimes she can't believe some of the things that are written actually came from her daughter lol.

Reading dark fics, I don't know. There's just something about them. I don't really enjoy reading fics where any of the Cullen's are killers or slightly insane, even though I like to write about that type of stuff, I don't particularly enjoy reading it, with the exception of one fic. Dark and angsty I would say is my favorite. It's very captivating to me to read -especially if it's Edward- someone broken, or depressed, or in a dark place and then become 'normal' or want to become 'normal' because of someone they love. Possessiveness in a fic, if done correctly and not over the top, I'm not ashamed to say, is sexy lol. I like the bad boys! Ask my husband, he is one lol.

Expecting Someone Else totally blew me away. Both Edward and Jasper were written so well. Where did the idea come from?

*Well, usually I'm an Edward kind of girl, but I saw on the blog that the Naughty Girls were more Jasper kind of girls. So I wanted to incorporate my favorite leading man with the ladies on the blogs' favorite leading man in a dark manner. I thought and thought for a few hours, and finally came up with the idea of Jasper being Edward and vice versa. This way, I could have my cake and eat it too lol. Everything else kind of just fell into place.

Cullen818 interjects - We appreciate you thinking of us and including our main man in your story.

Do you find it a challenge to write a o/s within the confines of a specific theme or contest? Or, does that make it easier, more specific for you?

*I do find it a challenge yes, but it also makes it easier for me. I mean, it's challenging in the fact that I have to get it done so fast, because usually I don't find out about contests until they're close to being over, but the one shot contests that I've entered actually allow me to get a story finished. I have one multi-chapter fic on my site on Fan Fiction, but it has yet to be completed. I find that if I have a dead line, I feel more pressured to get it done, and know that if I don't, it won't be entered. When I'm allowed to do it in my own time, I procrastinate too much, and it usually never gets done.

What are your favorite Fan Fics to read? Do you only read canon or will you dabble in other pairings? Who is the most intriguing Cullen for you to write? Why?

*My favorite Fan Fics to read...my my, there is quite a list lol. Um...I'll just list the ones I can't live without, or that I've read and were so incredible, that I just had to list them. I know for a fact that there are tons more, so I hope no one on my favorites list feels left out. I just can't remember them all lol.

*I only read cannon pairings in fics. I'm not really sure why, but I'm partial to the original pairings. The most intriguing Cullen for me to write would be Edward, and in all honesty, Jasper was fun to play with in this last fic I wrote. Edward just seems kind of like a mystery to me. He could be dark or he could be geeky, or sweet, or all of the above in some manner. I guess any of the Cullens could be written this way, I'm just a sucker for Edward lol.

When I found out that my story won a 'Naughty Girl's Pick', I squealed like a fan girl and called my mom lol.

The Naughty Girls Have Their Say...

Cullen818 - Brilliant! That's what comes to mind when I think of this fic. It's ultimately a E/B tale, but then there is the wickedly bad southern boy Jasper. Can he be saved? You'll never see this one coming. It's a chilling, captivating o/s that you can't miss. But, remember this was a Dark Side Contest, so keep that in mind before you read.

TwiCarol - This o/s is very well-written and has an interesting twist to it. The ending will have you gasping for air, just like Bella. It’s dark, so brace yourselves, but it is so worth reading as you will be caught completely off-guard by what happens. Great plot, interesting characters… a must-read!

JaspersDarlinKathy - Expecting Someone Else is a o/s that I would love to see turned into a full blown fic. I mean Delandora delivers Jasper and Edward in a way that I have never seen before, but I would literally beg her to make this o/s into a multi-chapter fic. When I read this o/s all I could think was 'wow' I was completely stunned and wishing there was more. You must read this o/s.

Today, I would like to present to you the voter's pick winner from the Show Us Your Dark Side Contest. I want to take this time to thank emznluv for entering the contest and for writing one hell of an amazing o/s. I did an interview with Emznluv and this is what she had to say:

1. Your Jasper was very dark, did you find it difficult to write Darksper?

It wasn't really difficult because I've always seen Jasper as a pensive and profound character. I knew there would be more going on in his mind than he lets on, and once I began to imagine what he would brood on, it came easily to me.

2. What inspired you to start writing fanfiction?

I've always loved writing, and hadn't done much with it lately. Once I started reading fanfic, I was totally sucked in...I was enthralled by the creativity authors possessed with characters we already know and love. With such amazing stories as Clipped Wings & Inked Armor and University of Edward Masen dominating my mind, it was only a matter of time before I tried my hand at my own stories.

3. What is it about Jasper that makes you a Team Jasper writer?

Well, I always liked Jasper's character in the original Saga, but he obviously wasn't much in the forefront. I adore Jackson Rathbone, and ever since he brought Jasper to life in the movies, I've focused more and more on Jasper...to the point that I am now hopelessly and blissfully lost! I started reading Jasper-centric fics and loved them, and now that is where my fic-brain is dwelling!

4. What is your favorite Jasper to write? And why? (Darksper, Geeksper, Emosper, etc)

I love a strong, sensual Jasper, but I also tend to write him as tormented and emotional. It really stems from how, with Jasper's original Saga power of emotional sensitivity, he seems to translate into a very empathetic and profound human. Another fic that I'm writing, called When Edward Was Dead is a strong example of the "Emosper" that comes naturally to me. Jasper, in my mind, is always strong, always there for the people in his life, but full of inner demons and always infused with an undercurrent of emotions.

5. After you decided to enter the contest, how did you come up with the idea to write Thirsty?

It's actually kind of funny how I came about entering the contest. I simply stumbled upon the contest page, and was reading up on it, reading the guidelines and such, and BOOM. The idea for Thirsty hits me. I hadn't originally planned on entering a contest or anything, as I had just finished a one-shot for a different contest...but once the idea for Thirsty hit me, I could not get it out of my head, and within a short while I decided to sit down and write. I wrote the story in one night. It really just took on a life of its own, and I'm so glad people seemed to enjoy it. Cullen818 - This one left me thirsty for more. I can definitely see why you all picked this for the voter's choice winner. Jasper knew exactly what he wanted, and he took it. Lucky Bella! The lemon in this one should come with a change of panties warning, I'm just saying. It's that hot! And, I loved Jasper's last bit of dialog.

Show Us Your Dark Side Contest Winners!

The Naughty Girls would first like to thank all of the very talented authors who chose to participate in our first contest. It was our hope that we bring the Fandom some more dark, dominant, naughty fics, and you guys delivered. We received 12 fantastic entries. We had an extremely hard time picking a winner. So, in addition to the voter's choice, we have decided that since there are three naughty girls that it seemed only right to have three Naughty Girl picks. That still didn't seem enough, so we went with two Honorable Mentions. Obviously, we know what we like!

We plan to feature all of the entries right here on this blog, but first we'll start with the winners. The week of March 22, 2010 will be designated...Show Us Your Dark Side Week. We want you to write us a o/s featuring any of the Twilight men (vamps, wolves, Volturi). They have to be dark, dominant, controlling or tortured. They should be sexy and irresistible if possible.

We don't care who, just as long they are bad! We're all about the naughty boys! Darkward, Darksper, Darkisle, Darkmett... We're just trying to broaden the Fandom with these hot, take charge men.

So, here's what we want:

1. A Twilight male must be included as the central character. Canon, non-canon pairings and slash are acceptable.

2. Length must be 2500+ words with no max limit.

3. Lemons are not mandatory, but encouraged. We'd also like to see a strong plot.

4. Collabs are welcome.

5. Enter as many times as you'd like.

6. 18 and up only - if you are under 18, you may not enter. Sorry!

7. Use your best grammar and punctuation; it will be screened for entry. We want your fic to have the best possible chance.

8. You may extend your story (and we'd love to see that), but please wait until the contest is over.

9. Fic must be a new o/s developed for this contest. Can be based off of an existing fic, but must be able to stand alone.

We understand Dark fics generally contain dark issues, but we will not accept any fics that contain rape, incest, or any other forced sexual acts. Murder and other off-limits acts will also not be accepted. If you have a question about whether or not a topic is acceptable, feel free to ask.
