Tie Me Up and Tease Me Thursday

Jasper/Bella

Chapter 29 - Nesting

JPOV

I grabbed a quick cup of coffee and headed back to my office, but on my way, I texted Bella. She didn’t respond and just as I was about to call her, I heard Maria call me from down the hall.

“Hey, gorgeous,” she said, as she kissed me. “On a break?”

“Just a quick one,” I said, as I hugged her. “How do you make those scrubs look so sexy?”

“What can I say? When you got it, you got it.”

I laughed.

“I spoke to Bella today. She says you’re making her nuts.”

“I am, but it’s only because I’m extremely anxious.” I admitted.

“She’s going to be fine. I happen to know that thousands of women give birth every day.”

“Well, not my woman.”

“Caveman!” She laughed.

“So, how have you been?”

“Good, just took the wedding invitations to the post office, so expect yours real soon.”

“Oh, God, not you too.” I smiled. “It’s all Rosalie talks about.”

“I know, Bella told me.”

“See, I knew it was bothering her. Rose is so self-absorbed sometimes. Bella is having a baby and doesn’t want to be bothered with all of that wedding talk. Every time they hang out together, Bella seems sad when she comes back to me. She probably can’t take it anymore and is just afraid she’ll offend Rosalie.”

“Umm, yeah.” She shook her head. “You never get what you’re supposed to get, do you?”

“What does that mean?”

“Nothing,” she sighed. “You’re on your own this time.”

“Has Bella said something to you?” I asked, wondering what the problem was. “I know the two of you are friends, but your loyalty lies with me.” I smiled. “What do you know?”

“She hasn’t said anything to me, because she’s not the kind of girl who ever would about something like this.”

“What are you talking about?”

Why did chicks have to be so cryptic?

“Do you want to marry her, stupid ass?” She rolled her eyes and let out an exaggerated breath.

Jasper/Bella

Chapter 7

EPOV

No matter how hard I tried to stop thinking about leaving Anastasia behind to go in search of Alice, the more impossible it seemed to become. I felt sick and I couldn’t shake this feeling that leaving her behind was a mistake. With Jasper and myself gone, would that put the family in danger? I knew that Carlisle and Emmett could hold their own in a battle, but would it be enough if they were caught off guard?

I decided that it was time to voice my thoughts because I would never forgive myself if something happened to my family. I would go search for Alice alone and I would bring her back, but if that bitch fought me, I would kill her without hesitation. I turned to look at Jasper and hoped that he would understand where I was coming from.

“Jasper, I think you should stay here while I am searching for Alice,” I told him hesitantly. I didn’t want to piss him off, but from the look on his face, he was clearly pissed. “Look, before you start yelling or whatever, I have a bad feeling that if we both leave, something bad is going to happen.”

Jasper narrowed his eyes while listening to me and for a moment his mind was completely blank, but that only lasted a second before plenty of thoughts came pouring into my mind. He took a step towards me with his fist clenched at his sides once again.

“If you think I’m going to let you walk out that door to go find Alice without me, you are a fucking fool. She is after my family, do you fucking get that? I will find her and I will do it with or without you,” he snarled.
