This is another fic that I've had on my TBR list for quite a while. I started it in this week & I'm now hooked! I'm only on chapter 15 of the 23 chapters posted so far, but I'm taking a break from reading to tell you all to go read it too. I won't take too long since I'm dying to carry on reading. :) I have not read anything like this story before & I find myself loving it. I can't tell you too much about it because you need to be surprised by all the twists & turns like I was. Izzy/Bella witnessed something deeply traumatic when she was young & it has left her with issues about letting people get close to her that are completely understandable. She goes for counselling with her therapist, Jasper, and that's how we learn about her past. One of the only "relationships" that she does have is with a late night DJ called Tony Masen, who plays music from the 70's & asks trivia questions that Izzy calls in to answer. They begin to chat off-air, but that's as far as it goes for a long time. You see, it turns out that Tony has issues of his own that he's dealing with, which we don't really find out about until chapter 14. Until all that happens, there's some great story & character building. Don't expect any of these characters that we've come to know so well to be obvious or predictable. This story is very original. I was reading along merrily and then suddenly chapter 9 happens & this story kicks OFF! I get breathless just telling you about it. So much action & a great developing storyline, this is a must read if you are looking for something different. It might take you a few chapters to get into it, since it's a while until they meet face to face but, believe me, the pay off is SO worth it! It's set in San Francisco & the author incorporates locations & events that give the story a lovely, realistic feel. There are no lemons yet, but the UST is keeping me on the edge of my seat. I am rooting for these two to get their HEA eventually, after all they've been through. So go read it & be sure leave the author some love. She deserves it!

I have been hearing great things about this fic, so I finally got around to starting it yesterday & I am totally addicted. I loved it so much that I just had to rec it to you today, since I already did a Light In The Dark post on Wednesday. I'm only on chapter 5 so far, but I am already SO in love with these characters. A wonderful Bella; a gorgeous (natch) multi-millionaire Edward with some serious anger management issues; Bella's best friend, Jasper, who is so protective over her & puts Edward in his place more than once; and then there's Rose, Emmett & Alice (Edward's sister), who are turning out to be great characters too. I don't want to give anything away about the story, but I have no doubt that it is just going to keep getting better & better. I can't wait to find out what happened to Edward to make him the way he is. He seems to have some serious issues. There are 18 chapters up so far & it updates every Friday. There is also a blog for the fic that you can find HERE. I could carry on waxing lyrical about this superb fic, but frankly I'd rather get back to reading it. Join me, won't you? I heard great things about this fic a while ago & added it to my "To Read" list, but never got around to reading it. When I saw it mentioned again on my interwebs travels last weekend, I decided to just make the time. I am so glad that I did. What a great story! I fell in love with every character, especially Edward's 3 year old son, Finn. Their Edward & Bella are different & interesting. The authors do a great job of ripping your heart out, leaving it lying next to you on the floor, then picking it up & putting it back into place & sending it soaring. An emotional rollercoaster indeed... but what a ride! All the chapters are done except for the epi, so get reading. I thoroughly enjoyed it & I hope you do too.

Master Of The Universe II by Snowqueens Icedragon

I'm sure that most, if not all, of you have read the masterpiece that is Master of the Universe by Snowqueens Icedragon. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that Part II is up & running on her blog, http://50shades.com/ & you can subscribe to receive e-mail alerts whenever the new chapter goes up. It is 12 chapters in so far & I am once again loving every moment of it. It starts off on their honeymoon (which is completely swoonworthy, btw... what I wouldn't give for a honeymoon like that with a man like that... holy hell!) Bella's Fifty is in fine form as always & each chapter will have you falling a little bit more in love with him, just like she does. So run, don't walk... go read it if you aren't already... it's fantastic!

My apologies to everyone that I missed the Light In The Dark segment this past Saturday. I was going to do it today instead, but then I remembered that I wanted to tell you about this fantastic new fic by FL95 that I started reading last week. It's only three chapters in so far, but I'm already hooked. In the author's own words, this is a little out of her comfort zone, but you couldn't tell it by me. It is well-written, gripping, draws you in immediately and her Edward is full of angst over having to return to a home that is not filled with happy memories and all I want to do is hold him (*cough* amongst other things *cough*) and make everything better for him. There is a really wonderful story being built here and I highly recommend getting in early, because it's going to be a great ride, just like every other one of this extremely talented author's fics. Enjoy!

Wow, wow, WOW! I have been meaning to read this fic for a while now, so I started at the weekend & I am completely captivated! What a magnificently told & moving story. I can honestly say that this is my very first AU Edward/Bella that I am reading & it is blowing me away. If you have not yet read it, you just HAVE TO! It is SUPERB! The author is extremely talented & the way she weaves her tale is mesmerizing. Edward & Bella meet in a very different way & it is original & wonderful. It's even given me a new appreciation for opera music, which I didn't have before. And don't think there's no action either. I was sitting up straight in my bed last night, reading on my cellphone, because I was so horrified by what had just happened! I cannot stress enough how fantastic this fic is & I really hope you give yourselves a real treat & go read it. And I'm not telling you anything that happens, because it's brilliant & you must find out for yourselves. Enjoy!

Aftermath is a o/s in Jasper's POV, since Long Way Down has been all Bella POV so far. It takes place in a certain part of chapter 8 of LWD & it is another fantastic read. So interesting & you find out some stuff that Jasper knows, that Bella doesn't and it will make you squee. Well, it made me squee, anyway. :)

So there you go... it's great, it's only 8 chapters in so far & it's another HAWT Jasper. What more do you want?

I have been going through a stage where I've mainly been reading AH Edward/Bella fics. *Gasp* I know right! But what about Jasper? He is still my main man and always will be, but there is just something special about some of the AH Edwards out there that completely does it for me. And it certainly doesn't hurt having the image of HHH Robert Pattinson in mind when reading these fics. Just saying. Anyway, moving on... let me just say that the lemons in Last Tango in Forks are some of the hottest I have ever read. Trust. The story is well-written and draws you in from the beginning. Edward has been through some very difficult times and is tortured. Bella gives him just what he needs to soothe his soul (and I'm not just talking about the smexing). It's fourteen chapters in and I can't wait for the next one. So go check it out, I guarantee you won't be sorry.

Now, back to why I had to do this rec immediately after I finished reading Prompt 7. It is, without a doubt, one of the best Darksper's I have ever read. The author has a wonderful way with words & this tale of Darksper feeding will give you chills. It will even have you feeling bad for him in the end. I know I did. So run, don't walk... go read it NOW! It's fantastic!

And just another reminder that if you aren't reading Underexposed by the same author, you are seriously missing out. Her Jasper deserves all the love you can give him, so go check it out. He's amazing. I'm sure you will love her Bella, Rosalie, Charlie & Garrett just as much as I do. So I came across this fic by accident on Sunday & I was very pleasantly surprised, as I didn't know that ForksPixie had started her own fic. It's only 3 chapters in, but I'm already hooked. It's well-written and I enjoyed the ideas she has come up with. Chapter 3 ends on a cliffy that will have you begging for more. Take my advice & get on this train early, as it's going to be a great ride. And go leave her some love... she thoroughly deserves it!

I meant to rec this fic ages ago, but then Master of The Universe caught my attention and, well, that was that. I previously rec'd Falling for the First Time, which is one of the best, most effing hilarious fics out there. If you are not reading it, you are missing out. SnowWhiteHeart is a wonderful writer & her humor is excellent. Now, this is rather different for a D/s story in that Bella is the Domme and Edward is her sub. I don't want to give too much away, but I will tell you that it is an absolutely fantastic read & you should go check it out as soon as possible. You will find yourself giggle-snorting more than once. Her Bella is awesome & her Edward is delicious. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

A little while ago, I was gushing to Steph about this FANTASTIC story that I had started reading, and I was addicted and I could not stop until I was all caught up. The reason I was telling Steph is because I just knew she would love it as much as I did/do. I was going to rec it that week but then GemGem mentioned it in her Naughty Girl for a Day post, so I decided to wait a while before I mentioned it again. Then Steph got to reading it and now she is hooked too. If fact, she will be joining in on this post in a little while. I'm sure that if you aren't already reading this, then you have at least heard about it. I would see people raving about MoTU on Twitter, but I didn't know what it was. I finally gave in to my curiosity and decided to check it out, and I am SO glad that I did! This has to be my favorite AH Edward fic EVER! It is superbly well-written and will have you enthralled from the moment you start reading it. Since it is already 84 chapters in, kiss whatever free time you may have had goodbye, since you will find it very difficult to stop until you are up to date. And if you aren't a fan of Edward or AH fics, please don't let that hold you back because you will be seriously missing out on a truly memorable reading experience. If you need any more encouragement, I've re-posted one of the videos that GemGem used in her post for you. Watch, then read... read, then watch... it will take your breath away... Fifty is waiting, ladies... off you go... enjoy! And don't forget to read Cullen818's thoughts after the eye-candy...

So, I'm jumping in on TwiCarol's time, but I couldn't help myself. I am a huge fan of Dominant, AH stories that feature Edward. But, problem is there aren't that many. This one has blown me away. When Carol rec'd it to me and told me it was like 80 chapters in, I was like, "Oh, no, that will have to be my summer reading." But, then I watched the above video and I was like, "Oh, no I have to go read this now!" And, read I did! Three nights straight until 2 am! It was incredible. I was obsessed!

I won't give too much away, but this story isn't just about a Dom and his sub, it's so much more. You have to experience it yourself to understand what I'm gushing about, but this Edward will make you melt. He's controlling, possessive and troubled, but Bella has a way with him. She's exactly what he needed.

The chapter flow is superb, and the endings of each always leave you panting for more. That was cool when I had 80 chaps to read, but now that I'm all caught up...I'm insane! The author is a wonderful updater though and it's always worth the wait. You'll never be disappointed.

Lawsper... small town Texas Lawsper... that is all you really need to know and it should make you run, not walk, to go read this fantastic fic. But I will tell you a bit more, if you insist. OK, so it isn't dark, but it is a really wonderful read and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do. The brilliant first chapter is the original o/s that was an entry in the "For the Love of Jasper" contest. It is now six chapters in and it has me completely hooked. Bella leaves the city to go to Blessing, Texas, to help out her friend, Sam with his divorce from Leah. Jasper is the only lawyer in the small town and he is representing Leah. There is an instant connection between Jasper and Bella, but there are bumps in the road ahead. Oh, and the lemon in chapter one? On Jasper's desk, in his office? So damn hot! This story is written by brokenheadboards, which is a collaboration between AHelm and ilsuocantante. They are spinning a great tale together, and you should read it as soon as you can. Enjoy!

Jasper has had his fair share of turmoil to deal with and is just the one to help Bella overcome her demons. It is well-written and the author has some great ideas, which make for an interesting story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and hope you will too. It is 27 chapters in so far, and something big is brewing at the moment, so get reading.  Enjoy!

I found this fic the other day and started reading it on my cellphone, since I was without my computer for a few days this week. I was a very sad panda and felt like I was missing a limb, but I digress. I highly recommend this story and hope that you will enjoy it as much as I do. It is fourteen chapters in so far and you will come to love this Jasper and Bella by the time you are all caught up. They have each been through hell with the loss of their respective mates, and to see them helping each other come back from that and heal is a wonderful thing. Jasper struggles quite a bit with his bloodlust when Bella is near, but he doesn't let that stop him from being close to her. The author has also created an original human character called Geoffrey, who is a great addition to the story and has an interesting history, to say the least. It is a well written fic that will leave you wanting more. I know I can't wait for the next update!

So, it's been a rather hellish week for me in RL, what with it trying to kick my ass in every which way possible, and then I found out about the tragic passing of 4lettrwrd. Needless to say, I am just not in the right frame of mind to find something dark to rec to you all. Luckily I was chatting to Bouncy72 on g-chat on Thursday night, and she told me about this fic that she is reading that is absolutely hilarious. I got around to reading it this morning, since I was looking for a pick-me-up, and it is just brilliant! Thank you SO much, Mich, for telling me about it! ;)

This story brings the funny like no other! I just LMAO like an idiot while I was reading it. It is 9 chapters in and it is spectacular. I don't get all of the geeky references, but I pick up on enough to follow along. The writing is wonderfully witty and the author's take on our favorite characters is original and superb. I thoroughly enjoyed this fic and I highly recommend it, whether you are looking for pick-me-up (like I was) or you are looking for a well-written fic that will bring a HUGE smile to your face. I can't say enough good things about it, so just go read it... I promise that it is worth your while.

Also, I just wanted to say that if there is anyone out there that is still not reading Running by Merina Green and Underexposed by daisy3853 , you are snoozing and losing... all at the same time! They are brilliant and you are seriously missing out. Okay, that's enough from me... 'til next time.

What can I tell you about this story? So many things come to mind, but all I really want to say is this... YOU.HAVE.TO.READ.THIS.NOW! Just click on the link above and go. You will not be sorry, I promise. Okay, okay, I'll tell you a bit more about it, but then seriously... go read it. I found this fic by accident on Saturday and I am so thrilled that I did. It is a beautifully written story, that will take your heart and squeeze it so hard that you won't be able to breathe properly. Each chapter starts out in the present with BPOV, then goes into JPOV with flashbacks from his childhood. I also the like the photography theme that runs through the story and it is what brings Jasper and Bella together in the first place. Very original and unique. The Jasper in this story is the ultimate flawed hero. He is so tortured and broken, that all you want to do is hold him and protect him and make everything alright. When you read everything that he goes through in his childhood and what he endures to protect his sister Rosalie, you will be awestruck and more than a little heart-broken. Bella is lovely in this fic and is perfect for this Jasper. You will love Rosalie and Charlie, and especially Garrett, who the author has created into a wonderful character, who is a rock for Jasper and Rosalie in a time when they so desperately need it. I really hope you enjoy this story as much as I have. It is truly special.

In keeping with yesterday's Geeksper theme, I found this Geekward fic that was an entry in the Dirty Talking Edward Contest. It features a shy, awkward, blushing Edward who turns out to be anything but, when his clothes come off. He has a dirty mouth and is not at all shy to say what he wants. He certainly surpasses all Bella's fantasies of him. The first chapter is hot as hell and the second chapter is more about building the story. I have no doubt that this is going to be a great fic to follow. I can't wait to see more Geekward, with and without his clothes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 'Til next time.

This was the second place entry for the In The Dark Contest. I'm sure you all know the wonderful KiyaRaven as the author of the supremely brilliant & effing hilarious E/B fic, The Screamers. (If you have not read it yet, what the hell are you waiting for? You are missing out!) In Grasping Darkness, Darkward (or WindowWard, if you will) is so sexy and delicious, that you can't help but wish for him to sneak in your window every night. She writes a great Bella too; in fact, this whole fic is great and you will be NOT be sorry you read this AT ALL! Enjoy!

Now to tell you about what I read today. I came across this fic called Running by Merina Green and even though it isn't dark, I still wanted to tell you about it, in case you weren't aware of it. And being unaware of it would be SO wrong, because it is just amazing. Her storyline is so different and original and fantastic, that I could not stop reading until I had caught up on all thirteen chapters. I loved it so much, that I couldn't even pause to review, but I will DEFINITELY be going back and doing that as soon as I can. It is a J/B tale that you really should check out, if you haven't already. It's well worth it, promise.

I found this while looking for a o/s for Sunday and when I saw that it is being continued, I decided to tell you about it here. It's only three chapters in, so jump on board now. It's a different take on what happens when Edward returns from Denali, after meeting Bella for the first time. I loved the initial o/s and I love what the author has done with Bella and what she's going through (you'll see what I mean). I cannot wait to see where she is taking this story. I really, REALLY enjoyed it and I highly recommend it. I hope you like it as much as I did.
